Back To School

I guess with the boys going back to school that means summer is over. :(
Travis is a sophomore in high school this year and that is just weird for me to think he is that old. He got his learners permit on Aug 14. That makes me feel really old LOL !!! So far so good he still dosen't care to drive other then the back roads so I am ok with that. He will be 16 in Feb so we have a while to get use to things. Trav and some friends are going to get in a prep league for basketball. I can't wait I have really missed watching him play. That will tide me over until the high school season starts.
Justin is in 7th grade this year. I think this is going to be a much better year for him then last. 6th grade was such a hard transition from elementary school. So far (only a week into the year) he loves his classes and even loves math. He gets up in the mornings with no issues. Huge improvement over last year. All Justin wants to do in his spare time is fish so him and Tony go every weekend. I love that they have that in common and enjoy going together.
I decided that I needed to do something for myself. I have started going to the gym again. It feels great. Its already been a year since my last back surgery. I really need to get in shape so I don't have to have it fused anytime soon. Not a surgery I ever care to have but know it may be a must do down the road. I hope it helps with my arthritis flares too with Fall & winter coming up. I am taking it slow but already I am feeling and seeing that it helps. I am writing this down so on the days I can't find the motivation to go I can read this and hope it helps me go. So far I haven't felt that way about it.

Summer Thoughts

Well its been almost 5 months since I posted to my blog. I was tossing the idea of just deleting it all together. But I figure I will give it one more shot and see if I can get into blogging.
So here are updates since I last posted.
Travis played baseball for the freshman team. Loved it. He was surprised he did. He hadn't played for 2-3 yrs. The coach would really like him to be a pitcher. Just last week he got the cyst taken out of his shoulder so now it won't hurt to throw like it has. So next baseball season he will be able to pitch more then 1 inning. basketball is still his first love.
Justin is in fishing mode. That is all he can think about and talk about. Tony took him steelhead trout fishing in Idaho back in April. They had a great weekend together and I think will become a yearly trip. Now its every Sunday they go up Logan canyon fishing and if they can go during the week they go then too.

Here are some pics to enjoy :)

My front flower bed I redid this spring.

March 2009

Wow its been along time since I posted anything new. LOL Time has been flying by.

Travis and the freshmen basketball team finished their season last month 12-4 overall. So now he is going to start baseball. Their first game is this Sat 3-14-09. Hope the snow doesn't cancel their 1st game.

Justin just wants to go fishing. He lives for it and talks about it all the time. Tony took him and Justice up to the Narrows is Idaho and then the next week they went up Logan canyon. Then it snowed 14 inches so I think its back to just talking about it again for a few weeks.

I am hoping Spring get here soon!!! I am tired of being inside all the time and want to open up my windows and let the fresh air in.

2009!

Wow the past 2 weeks have been a blur. Christmas has come and gone and was awesome!!!! The boys got what they wanted and loved everything.

Justin had his 12th birthday on the 28th. He got his first gun a 22. Now he wants to go rabbit hunting. To celebrate we went to see a movie "Yes Man" it was funny :) We also went to dinner and then hung out with Dan & Holli for cake and ice cream. I will post some pics after I get them off my camera. I am so slow at that.

Travis had 2 games through Christmas break. They played Morgan at home and then we went there. They lost in the last sec at home by a buzzer basket. But when we went there they kicked butt by 20 points.

New Years we spent with the Pope's and Durrant's. Had a blast but had to hurry home since Travis had a 1 am curfew.

It was a great 2 week break for the boys but I am really happy to be back to normal life.

5-0 Go Cats!!!

Yup the team is 5-0!!! They are such a awesome group of kids. I am loving being a basketball mom and going to the games. This week they played Bear River at home and won by 9 points. Then last night they played Pocatello High School in Pocatello, Idaho. They won that one by 6.

I am still working on getting some pics posted. Christmas has taken over all my spare time. So I will be adding all the pics to a online album so its easy to view them all.

Bobcat's Basketball

They have 3 games under their belts and have won them all. 11/25 we traveled to Bear River High School in Tremonton, UT. OK they played at the middle school over there since they are redoing all their gyms. Had a awesome game and won by about 25 points. Next 12/3 we traveled too Judge Memorial in SLC, UT. They played awesome again. The gym was sooooo crazy loud and Jon (tallest kid on the team) almost dunked it. He had the crowd on their toes. They won that one by 10. Last night we went to Highland High School in Pocatello, ID. They started the game off behind by 8 but they then caught up and lead the rest of the game. 48-41 final score.

Next week they have their first home game against Bear River on Tuesday and then we go back to Pocatello, ID to play Pocatello High School on Wed.

I will get pics up later today after i get them off my camera :)
